I moved to Asheville from Los Angeles, in the early 1990’s. My first Spring here was the Great Blizzard of 1993. After 12 years of teaching elementary school (in LA and then Asheville City Schools) I got my real estate license in 2001. I was always one of those crazy people that would explore abandoned houses as a kid. I love finding streets I have never been down or dirt road “shortcuts.” So being a real estate agent may have been a foregone conclusion. My daughter grew up in real estate with me. At 4 she could discuss HVAC systems and ductwork and drip edges with some confidence. Too bad she is going to waste all that early training on a career in journalism (and maybe comedy!)
In my spare time, I volunteer for Brother Wolf. There is usually a menagerie of beasts at my house in Swannanoa. I mostly foster puppies and occasionally take on a challenging pup or two to keep me on my toes. Our latest adventure involves an 8 month Old Treeing Walker Coon Hound. Lawdy lawdy what was I thinking?

I was born and raised in Fairview North Carolina and have loved raising my 3 children in this beautiful area with all that it has to offer. I earned my Real Estate license in 2015 to begin a new career path while keeping up with my kids, ages 20, 18 and 3 (yes, 3 years old)! Any spare time that we have usually involves the outdoors, whether it be gardening, hiking or spending time at the lake. I feel privileged to assist others in their journey to find their homes in Asheville and surrounding areas. Helping others is very important to me and I am excited to help match the people of WNC with the home of their dreams!

Originally I'm from Michigan and then moved to Florida. Every summer I would come to Western NC for hiking, camping, and relaxing. Of course, I fell in love. Now, lucky me, I live here. The culture, artistry, and natural beauty can't be beat, and I can't get enough of it. I enjoy hiking, gardening, shopping, quilting, exploring, and of course, real estate. I started my work life as a dental hygienist and then moved to managing a 3-store landscaping equipment sales & service company. You will find me to be fun, professional, and detail oriented. have lived in Black Mountain since 1992 and raised my children in this
community. I earned a Masters of Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina
University in 2005, which gives me tools to solve a wide range of
problems encountered in a real estate transaction. In December 2008, I
earned from the Asheville Board of Realtors® the ECO Certification, a
36-hour course covering a wide range of environmental issues from green
building techniques to home energy usage to land conservation. I earned
my Real Estate license in 1998 and was the first Broker in Charge at
the Village of Cheshire in Black Mountain. I am
eternally grateful to the plumbers, electricians, carpenters,
inspectors, contractors, attorneys, paralegals, surveyors, lenders,
insurance agents, architects, painters, and local government workers who
consistently provide excellent service, charge a fair price and show up
when scheduled. This business would not function without them and
because of their fine work we have been able to close properties
totaling over $68,000,000.
More importantly we have matched dozens of people to their next dream.

Office ManagerTim is an extraordinary administrator, master puzzle brain, and computer wrangler. He handles everything we throw his way, from web site management to clearing dead possums out of crawl spaces. He keeps the books, juggles the showing schedules, scares away the bears, reminds us of appointments, finds lost keys, lost cell phones, lost clients, and lost minds. He makes our world go around and we are always grateful.
