After 12 years of teaching elementary school (in LA and then Asheville City Schools) I got my real estate license in 2001. I was always one of those crazy people that would explore abandoned houses as a kid. I love finding streets I have never been down or dirt road “shortcuts.” So being a real estate agent may have been a foregone conclusion. My daughter grew up in real estate with me. At 4 she could discuss HVAC systems and ductwork and drip edges with some confidence. Too bad she is going to waste all that early training on a career in journalism (and maybe comedy!)

In my spare time, I volunteer for Brother Wolf. There is usually a menagerie of beasts at my house in Swannanoa. I mostly foster puppies and occasionally take on a challenging pup or two to keep me on my toes. Our latest adventure involves an 8 month Old Treeing Walker Coon Hound. Lawdy lawdy what was I thinking?
